# Inspack vs Esko

Inspack vs Esko: how Esko Comply and Inspack compare for AI artwork review, regulation coverage, integrations, security, and pricing, and how to use both.

Esko is a complete packaging platform for artwork management, proofing, and prepress, and its AI quality assistant, Comply, checks artwork inside that workflow against rules your team configures. Inspack is a dedicated AI compliance review platform that checks packaging and marketing content against named regulations that update automatically, plus your own guidelines and labels. Inspack can be used on its own or alongside an artwork management system such as Esko.

## What does each product do?

**Esko** covers the full packaging lifecycle:

- **Artwork management:** WebCenter Enterprise for global brands, WebCenter Go for growing brands, and WebCenter Pack for converters. These include workflow automation, approval gates, online proofing, content management, and 3D visualization.
- **Structural design and prepress:** ArtiosCAD for structural design, and Automation Engine and ArtPro+ for prepress.
- **Comply:** Esko's AI module for artwork review, which runs as a quality step inside WebCenter.

**Inspack** focuses on the review itself:

- It checks labels, packaging, ads, social posts, websites, and marketplace listings against regulations and brand rules.
- It explains each issue, cites the rule, and suggests a fix.
- It maintains the regulation rulesets itself and updates them automatically when rules change, so your team does not have to.
- It handles approvals and keeps a full audit trail.
- It connects to design tools and other systems.

## How does each tool handle common review tasks?

### Reviewing a new artwork for regulatory and brand compliance

Inspack checks the artwork against the regulations you select and your brand guidelines in one review. It lists each finding with a severity, the cited rule, and a suggested fix.

Esko Comply compares the artwork with your rulebook and approved briefs, including meaning-level differences such as "low sugar" vs. "reduced sugar". It flags exceptions for a reviewer to confirm. Ask how rulebooks are set up for your regulatory requirements.

### Reviewing one artwork for several markets

Inspack reviews the same artwork against the rulesets of every selected market in a single run, for example the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia. Esko Comply reuses rulebooks across SKUs, projects, and markets. Ask who maintains each market's rulebook when requirements change.

### Reviewing digital ads, social posts, and websites

Inspack checks marketing content against platform policies from Meta, Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn, alongside claims and brand tone, and it monitors live websites. Esko Comply is built for packaging artwork; its launch release also mentions promotional materials.

## Who keeps the regulations up to date?

Inspack updates regulations for you, so teams do not have to track rule changes themselves. It monitors 100+ regulatory sources such as FDA, EPA, and EFSA, and updates the matching rulesets automatically. Each ruleset shows the date its requirement last changed, and affected content is re-checked when a rule changes.

With Esko Comply, your team maintains its rulebooks, often from specification sheets. Through its TraceGains integration, Esko can trigger artwork reviews when upstream product data changes, which keeps packaging in sync with formulation updates.

## Can you use Inspack with Esko?

Yes. Teams can keep artwork management, proofing, and prepress in Esko and use Inspack for regulation-based review of the same artwork files.

## How do data handling and security compare?

Both vendors run cloud platforms and publish their security practices in a trust center.

Esko holds a SOC 2 Type 2 report, available under NDA, and has been ISO 27001 certified since 2022.

Inspack is currently undergoing a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. It keeps each client's data in a separate workspace, uses it only for that client's model, and offers an optional dedicated environment on Enterprise. Details are on the [Inspack trust center](https://trust.getgen.ai).

## How do you get started, and what does it cost?

Esko does not publish pricing for WebCenter or Comply. Growing brands can start with a WebCenter Go free trial; Comply and WebCenter Enterprise start with a discovery call.

Inspack publishes its plans and offers two ways to start: book a demo with the team, or sign up and test the tool yourself on a 7-day free trial.

| | Inspack | Esko |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pricing | **Starter:** $99/month, 10 reviews\n**Pro:** $599/month, 50 reviews and integrations\n**Enterprise:** custom pricing | Not disclosed |
| How to start | Book a demo, or start a 7-day free trial | WebCenter Go free trial, or a discovery call for Comply and WebCenter Enterprise |
| Setup | First review in minutes; integrations typically under an hour; enterprise rollout typically 2 to 5 weeks | Not published |

## Which should you choose?

### Choose Inspack when

- you want ready rulesets for named regulations that update automatically, without building and maintaining rulebooks
- you review ads, social posts, websites, and marketplace listings as well as packaging
- regulatory, design, and marketing teams each need their own review workflow
- you want to test the review before a sales process

### Choose Esko when

- you need one platform for artwork management, proofing, preflight, and prepress
- your specifications live in TraceGains and artwork reviews should start automatically when product data changes
- you run pharma packaging and need a validated environment inside your artwork system
- procurement requires completed SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 reports today

**Use both** if your artwork lives in Esko and you want regulation-based review of the same files.

**Inspack is not the right fit** if you are looking for an artwork management or prepress system; it is a review platform that works alongside one.

**Esko is not the right fit** if you want ready-made regulation rules maintained for you, or review of ads, social posts, and websites; Comply relies on rulebooks your team builds and focuses on packaging artwork.
